As part of its employment practice, Mobilization for Justice provides advice, counsel and representation to help low wage and immigrant workers (regardless of immigration status) who are injured at work, or who face unsafe or unhealthy job conditions, including with:

  • Workers’ Compensation claims
  • Medical leave and disability accommodations
  • Disability discrimination
  • Reporting and correcting unsafe or unhealthy job conditions

The Workplace Justice Project at Mobilization for Justice teamed up with the Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health,  which provide medical care for injured workers, regardless of immigration status or insurance coverage. WE conduct interactive workshops to help immigrant and low-wage workers understand workers’ compensation, medical leave, and other rights related to safety and health at work. Mobilization for Justice also advocates for fairness and efficiency in the Workers’ Compensation system through impact litigation and policy advocacy.
