Law Graduates and Law Students

Mobilization for Justice is hosting Law Graduates and Law Students as follows:

Poverty Justice Solutions Fellows

We are accepting applications through March 10 for law students seeking placement as Poverty Justice Solutions Fellows to work in our Housing Unit.  Our Housing Unit provides legal services to prevent evictions, stop harassment and improve housing conditions  for low-income tenants throughout New York City, with a focus on the Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan.  Fellows will work in a dynamic environment, and engage in all aspects of lawyering from client intake (in the courthouse, at community outreach clinics and on an intake line), to case preparation, and  appearing in courts and administrative agencies.  Other practice areas at Mobilization for Justice include government benefits, immigration, employment, consumer, bankruptcy employment, foreclosure and family law for kinship caregivers.  Please send cover letter, resume and writing sample to ebrown@mfy.org.
