Mobilization for Justice strongly opposes any actions to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. As part of our immigration practice, we will continue to provide services to DACA recipients and their families and will redouble our efforts to demand immigration reform that provides a path toward citizenship for the millions of people who have come to our country and are members of our community.
DACA has had a positive impact on many of the families that Mobilization for Justice serves and on the overall wellbeing of New York City. DACA has allowed young people to work legally, attend school, and participate fully in the life of their communities without fear of deportation. We urge our nation’s leaders to preserve DACA and work together to enact lasting immigration reform.
