Today, Monday, January 20, we celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The irony is not lost on us that today is also the day Donald J. Trump will be inaugurated as United States President for the second time. While we celebrate Dr. King today, it is with great sadness and stubborn resilience that we recognize the enormous amount of work to be done. We cannot lose faith in the timeless truth he left us to ponder and fight for: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” May the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. live as we fight ceaselessly to make his vision a reality. MOBILIZATION FOR JUSTICE
Mobilization for Justice’s (MFJ) mission is to achieve justice for all. We prioritize the needs of people who are low-income, disenfranchised, or have disabilities as they struggle to overcome the effects of social injustice and systemic racism. We provide the highest-quality free, direct civil legal assistance, conduct community education and build partnerships, engage in policy advocacy, and bring impact litigation. MFJ also promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace, and understands the need to eliminate all racial disparities to achieve justice for all.
