Tuesday, December 11, 2012–MFY’s Consumer Rights Project, in conjunction with Pro Bono Net, launched The NYC Consumer Debt Defense Project website today at www.probono.net/ny/consumer/. The website serves as a resource for pro bono, private, and legal services attorneys to share data, forms, news and information about trends and developments in the area of consumer debt. It features a library of sample papers, important decisions, law review articles, reports, training materials, legislative testimony, and other documents of interest. The site also includes links to the latest news in the world of consumer debt, plus a calendar of upcoming trainings and events. Members will have access to interactive court-form templates for pro bono attorneys assisting pro se clients, along with podcasts, moderated by MFY attorneys, which will cover a range of substantive consumer law topics and feature interviews with the leading consumer law practitioners in the country.
