Kentaji Brown Jackson has been sworn in as the first Black woman and public defender to join the U.S. Supreme Court. This is a huge victory for our country, but especially for underrepresented and underserved communities. Of course our nation still has vast progress to make towards equality and justice. The Supreme Court has recently issued multiple decisions that threaten the rights and wellbeing of millions of Americans. We are inspired by Justice Brown’s journey, and hope that she and her fellow justices do all they can to move this nation closer towards equal justice for all.”
