Tenants

Mobilization for Justice helps low-income New Yorkers preserve affordable apartments, avoid eviction, and improve housing conditions. Five of our 11 projects advise, counsel and represent tenants in all aspects of landlord-tenant law, serving over 4,000 households a year.

Projects for Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx Tenants:

Housing Project: Manhattan tenants residing north of Houston Street on the east side; and on the west side between Houston St. and West 110th St.

Manhattan Seniors Project: Manhattan residents over the age of 60.

Citywide Projects:

SRO Law Project: Residents of single-room occupancy dwellings.

Mental Health Law Project: People receiving mental health clinical services and patients in psychiatric wards of hospitals affiliated with the NYC Health & Hospitals Corporation.

Three-Quarter House Project: residents of three-quarter houses citywide.
