Mobilization for Justice helps New Yorkers who experience financial difficulties get a fresh financial start.

MFJ’s Low-Income Bankruptcy Project helps low-income New Yorkers burdened by debt, who cannot afford a private attorney, obtain a fresh start through bankruptcy, and avoid homelessness and financial ruin.  We provide legal advice, assistance, and representation to people filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions and, in limited circumstances, Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions and parties in adversary proceedings.

MOBILIZATION FOR JUSTICE
Mobilization for Justice’s (MFJ) mission is to achieve justice for all. We provide the highest-quality free, direct civil legal assistance, conduct community education and build partnerships, engage in policy advocacy, and bring impact litigation.
