Statement on Roe v. Wade

We are appalled by today’s Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Bodily autonomy and medical privacy are some of the most basic human rights. The right to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is an essential means of exercising these rights. The obliteration of legal abortion nationwide will not end abortion nationwide. It will only make getting an abortion more dangerous for women in marginalized communities.

We stand in solidarity with the advocates fighting for abortion rights and reproductive justice, and providing care for those in need. We remain committed to doing everything in our power to fight for all human rights. This fight is far from over, but only if we fight together. Now is the time to stand together against this horrific injustice and do everything we can to reinstate the right to abortion nationwide.
