MFY Urges City to Provide More Funding under CDBG for Sandy Victims

MFY and other organizations affiliated with the Center for New York City Neighborhoods signed on to  a letter urging the city to provide further assistance to address the legal needs of New Yorkers devastated by Superstorm Sandy as part of the city’s Action Plan for funding under the Community Development Block Grant.

MFY Demands Enforcement of National Mortgage Settlement

MFY joined more than 100 organizations in demanding that the Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight enforce the national mortgage settlement’s servicing reforms and fair lending requirements and ensure transparency in banks’ reporting of consumer relief activities.

SRO Tenants Expose House of Horrors

MFY is representing tenants at Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Hotel who are suing their landlord for egregious building violations.
